Hey, Consumers Energy! I heard you’re going to be featured on a television show. Is that for real?
Lights, camera, ACTION! It’s true – our communications team has been busy working with a prominent leader in the storytelling space to get our message out to customers here in Michigan
and people around the world! This fall, we were approached by the crew at Tomorrow’s World Today (as seen on Science and Discovery+). To round out season 8 of their show, they were looking to showcase energy innovators and walk through the future of our industry. After interviewing energy providers from around the country, they chose Consumers Energy!
It’s not often we get an opportunity to show off our great state of Michigan on a national level. We have a great story to tell and never turn down an opportunity to brag about the places and people we love. Obviously, while we’ve never done anything like this before, it was a quick “yes!” on our end.
What does this mean for you? Michigan will take center stage on the Science Channel LIVE Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. EST. Then, the episode will be available to stream on YouTube Dec. 15. Even more exciting? In 2025, we’ll be streaming everywhere on Discovery+!
So yeah…we got to work with a real-life television crew for a couple of days while we talked about our amazing state, the 8,000 co-workers here at Consumers Energy and the 6.8 million Michigan lives we have the privilege of powering. How could we have possibly turned down such an incredible opportunity?
