Some say Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. But we would disagree. Today, on Friday, August 13 we are feeling very lucky to have supportive and patient customers. We know being without power is an inconvenience, at best, and can even cause a hardship. A Story of Thanks

A Fremont family broke into a spontaneous happy dance after line workers restored their power days earlier than estimated.

The couple has breathing issues and were without power in hot, muggy weather for two days after storms raced through Michigan, knocking out power to thousands.

While estimates had them waiting an additional two days for restoration, Consumers Energy’s hard-working crews got to it earlier than planned.

“We thank you with all our hearts and want you to know just how much we appreciate you going above and beyond to get us reconnected. My son was literally in tears and we all did a spontaneous ‘Happy Dance’ – just wish all your workers had been here to see the joy,” the family wrote in a thank you to the company.
